Marisa Kelly is a text based artist located in Toronto. Her poetry practice seeks to find love and intimacy within innocuous moments. She is part of the poet for hire community, composing poems for strangers on the street with her type writer. Pulling inspiration both from vulnerability and improvisation, the patron picks a topic and gets a poem on the spot. She often travels with her type writer to different cities.
As a freelance writer, her journalistic pursuit is concerned with understanding the world around her with honesty and integrity. Her art criticism seeks to highlight the intention of the artist and showcase the purpose behind their work.
She's undergoing her Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Visual and Critical Studies at OCAD University.
